Harmony Rec. w/ Alfred Czital
Harmony Rec.·09 MAY

Harmony Rec. w/ Alfred Czital

Hour two of the Harmony Rec. takeover is gifted, truly, by Alfred Czital. Mellow-mode-trippers born somewhere, sometime, at the cusp of this century. Pianos gliding on rimshot drums and basslines born out of the deepest recesses of the soul. It’s that transportive kind of stuff, takes you straight to some jazzed up euro lounge; trip hop basically. Includes some deepcut bits from Smoke City, X Marks the Pedwalk, and Prefuse 73. So good. Big tip.

Manuca
Bud Dub·09 MAY

Manuca

Manuca sees in the afternoon as any good afternoon should be seen, with total grace. 2 hours of roots and reggae music from across the spectrum with seminal cuts from Prince Alla to Black Uhuru and Jackie Mittoo. 7 inch galore here, all delivered in a slick, laidback, harmonious haze. Very good.

RO
Prog Realm·08 MAY

RO

A standout show from RO for Friday’s third shift. Groove centric machine-wigged house and electro hybrids built prime-purpose for those smokelit hours of closing sunlight. A little bit android-y whilst keeping it rooted in them essential tech-house rhythmics with bits from John Debo, Farmboisier, and H-Foundation to name a few. Tip.

Emil Ramsby
02 MAY

Emil Ramsby

Emil Ramsby closes out the before bit to welcome the after bit and does so in capital C Classico styley. Tech-house born of something sundrenched in that organ-washed shuffled-up percussive kind of way, all of it a particularly transportive style of waveriding house music of an age that forms much of the resurgence in today's scene whether via Community Recordings or Wamdue Speakeasy. Proper business. Tip.

Pass-the-Aux
02 MAY

Pass-the-Aux

Pass-the-Aux see in Saturday’s proceedings with their ever unique format allowing artists to come up and share their music one after another. Another diverse entry, spanning experimental bass-music, progressive house, hazy new age RnB and a range of other styles.

NACHTSCHADE TAKEOVER w/ Christina Evangelista
NACHTSCHADE Takeover·01 MAY

NACHTSCHADE TAKEOVER w/ Christina Evangelista

In form once more comes Christina Evangelista with an hour of slinky ro-minimal flexwork for Nachtshade. Just pure hand-wafting goodness from kickoff to touchdown, all of it played out like a stripped-back-groove-tilted homage to the late afternoon sun poured over the buttons. Includes bits from Rhadoo, Ramiro Drisdale, and Feeble Light. Tip.

NACHTSCHADE TAKEOVER w/ Ricardo Roessel
NACHTSCHADE Takeover·01 MAY

NACHTSCHADE TAKEOVER w/ Ricardo Roessel

Ricardo Roessel sees out the Nachtshade with a winning hand of waxy house ‘n electro from the vaults. Wafters, drivers, slinkers, rollers, many descriptors one could use but all of them redundant in lieu of just hearing the thing from start to finish. For its that craftsman at work type stuff, with tunes from Miki Trasi to S. Moreira and The Egyptian Lover - to name a few. Tip.

Mui Mui
25 APR

Mui Mui

NY dweller Mui Mui debuts on the cusp of darkness ahead of a night over the road alongside DJ JM and Alfredo92. Veering towards those essential rhythms made borderline eccentric in the granular details, it's a particular method in restrained leftfield-ish techno from this moment - binding wicked recent bits from L.B. Dub Corp to DJ ojo and oma totem in a deeply styled out hour of musik. Tip.

Bubbling Inside w/ NVST
Bubbling Inside·18 APR

Bubbling Inside w/ NVST

NVST delivers for Bubbling Inside. Mangled electro and grizzly, aired out leftfield techno, its a testament to the functional complexity of contemporary club music - an originality bound in mentally intrigue and a firm root in original rhythms with bits from Conrad Soundsystem, Phasmid, and Farr.

corpo
18 APR

corpo

Corpo returns in form for a patient hour of transportive music, experi-ambient and liquid forms meeting concrete atmospherics and the subtle flickers of something human. There's a contemporary leftfieldism at play throughout in its fluidity, with bits from Lee Gamble and Oneohtrix Point Never to Tara Clerkin Trio and Milan W.

Téa
17 APR

Téa

Bright liquid abstractions dancing around gliding 808s both high and low from Téa for the second hour of the afternoon. A personal kind of ambi-hip-hop/trap introspection, one made ever clearer via the inclusion of choice bits from the likes of Gunna and Freddie Gibbs, cocooned in a sort of ambient haze of music from Khotin to, Yushh and Moon Patrol. Very good.
