Martin Gilleshøj is a DJ, label head, and event promoter deeply embedded in Copenhagen’s electronic music scene. His sets reflect an eclectic yet cohesive interest in music, as he dives into many styles with a passionate attitude. Martin embraces a fluid and adventurous approach to building moods, either staying in one lane or navigating subtly between genres. Whether exploring deep and trippy realms, or delivering colourful ‘hands in the air’ sets, he is not afraid to take risks and brings an inquisitive energy to DJing that leaves a warm signature on the dance floor. Sometimes introspective, sometimes high-energy, but always crafted with a strong sense of groove and emotion. Martin’s talent for shaping atmospheres and his years of dedication to DJing have made him a beloved artist in Copenhagen. Next to DJing, Martin runs Buttheads, an intimate club series and record label that spotlights artists he has formed musical and personal connections with over the years. He is also the co-founder of Axces Recordings, a label and event series that fosters contemporary club sounds, and Kune Festival, a 5-day open-air gathering held on a secluded island. He previously ran Proton Records, a vinyl shop dedicated to experimental and club music.
